and view them at the end of each feature description.
Viewer Supports Over 200 File Formats
The built-in document viewer will allow
you to view over 200 different file formats without the need to have
the native applications installed. For example, if an Architect e-mails
you a CAD drawing of a building, and you do not have any CAD software
installed, you can save it into FileDirector and view it without the
need to install anything else.
Comprehensive Document Viewing Tools
FileDirector contains the typical viewing tools needed to display documents on screen allowing you to see and read any documents stored in the system. These include fit-screen, fit to width, rotate and zoom controls. FileDirector also includes the ability to view multiple documents at once or multiple pages within a document.
Document Thumbnails
Document thumbnails are smaller replicated images of larger documents stored in the system, they allow you to easily browse through documents for the pages you need by displaying multi-page documents on screen at once.
Dedicated Capture Licenses & Cost Effective Retrieval Licenses
FileDirector has a flexible licensing structure which will fit into
any organization. The user licenses have been split into those that
scan and those that perform the other tasks.
User Personal Document Lists
A user can create personal document lists in FileDirector which will allow you to keep them separate from the rest of the system. This is useful for regularly accessed and confidential documents.
Single Application For Scanning, Storing, Classification & Retrieval
The FileDirector WinClient is a single interface that will allow you to perform all day to day functions within one window. Unlike other document management software there is no need for multiple applications to be open at once.
Web Access To Documents With Near-Complete Functionality
FileDirector includes a WebServer interface that can allow you to search for and retrieve documents over the internet providing you have a valid login. Alternatively you can run the entire FileDirector WinClient through a browser giving you access to almost every option available within its interface, including tasks such as scanning.
