Comprehensive Security Options
FileDirector
incorporates some of the most advance security technology in use today.
A true 3 tier security model means that the images and indices are kept
separate from one another. Users can also be restricted in viewing
cabinets, document types or even fields. Combined with the Active
Directory security for users and groups and an SSL certificate for
internet security, FileDirector is as secure as possible.
Flexible And Simple Administration Of Rights
In Active Directory the user rights to the application can be
controlled, however, in the FileDirector Enterprise Manager console you
can easily allow or deny access to almost any part of the program. The
security can be set to control access to Cabinets, Document Types and
even Fields.
Full Audit Logging
A full audit trail option in FileDirector can track and record every
single action taken in the program. A clear list of events can be
viewed to allow you to monitor the complete history of a document or a
user’s actions surrounding that document.
Active Directory/LDAP Based Security
User
accounts and groups are simply inherited from your Windows Active
Directory, or SAM tree, and can be used in FileDirector. The software
will automatically set up a number of FileDirector groups in your
Active Directory and these can be used to control permissions to the
application.
